These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity, and Secure Shutdown, concerning your access to and use of the website, web user portal, and our Android client application.

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, checking the legal agreement confirmation box during registration, or installing our security services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.

2. Accessibility Service and Device Overlays

To detect and intercept hardware shutdown options, the Android client application requires you to manually activate specific permissions: Accessibility Services, Display Overlays, and Background Execution. You acknowledge that:

• These permissions are utilized strictly to identify the rendering of power options and block unauthorized access when the device is locked.
• Accessibility service integration is strictly localized and complies with Android policies. It does not inspect other private application screens.

3. Software Limitations & Disclaimer of Liability

Secure Shutdown is designed to act as an anti-theft deterrent. However, due to the open-source nature of the Android operating system and chip-level hardware behaviors:

• Thieves may still bypass software protection by holding physical hardware power buttons for 10-15 seconds (forcing hardware chip shutdown), discharging the battery completely, placing the device inside RF-blocking bags, or flashing system firmware.
• The software and portal are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranty that our services will prevent physical theft or guarantee recovery of lost devices.
• Secure Shutdown and JSI Software Solutions shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost personal data, physical device value, or recovery costs.

4. Support Tickets and Conduct

We provide a support ticketing system within our portal to resolve platform issues. You agree to submit accurate reports, screenshots, and descriptions. Any abuse of support channels, including spamming ticket creation or uploading illegal screenshots, will result in immediate account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, all design structures, portal styling layouts, brand illustrations, REST API specifications, and source code databases are our proprietary property and protected by international trademark and copyright laws.
